Phones 4U Founder Accuses Sunak of Being a "Dud"
John Caudwell, the billionaire founder of defunct mobile phone retailer Phones 4U, has launched a scathing attack on British politicians, calling Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak an "absolute dud" and praising Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer.
In a recent interview, Caudwell expressed his frustration with the Conservative government's handling of the economy, accusing Sunak of being "out of touch" and "clueless" about the challenges facing ordinary people.
In contrast, Caudwell praised Starmer, saying that he "just really hits the spot" and "understands what people are going through." Caudwell's comments are particularly significant given that he donated £500,000 to Boris Johnson's Conservative Party in the run-up to the 2019 general election.
